The Subscription Card is a virtual card for multiple payments, provided by default to centralize and simplify the management of recurring payments (digital services, plans, various subscriptions) on a dedicated payment method.

How it works

The Subscription Card is suitable for:

  • Gathering recurring payments on a card separate from the main card used on a daily basis ;
  • Minimizing the impact in case of loss, disputes, or replacement of the main card ;
  • Ensuring the continuity of monthly payments.

The "subscription Card" is accessible from the “Cards” tab. If it hasn’t been created yet, an introductory prompt appears on first opening. If the customer chooses to proceed, creation is then validated via strong authentication.

Once activated, the "subscription Card" appears on the card list. The customer can then enter the card details in the payment form of any service he wishes to subscribe to.

To retrieve card numbers, they must access the card’s details screen from “Cards”, then reveal the payment information with one click. Strong authentication is required to view card details.

Generally, when a payment is initiated on the merchant’s site, a 3DS authentication will be required to confirm adding the card to the service and authorize future installments.

When a recurring payment is detected, the customer is informed in advance of upcoming installments to ensure funds are available on the due date. Learn more.

Features

The card is valid for three years and has the same settings as a virtual card for multiple payments. It can be managed from the app or on a computer :

  • You can block or delete it, or disable foreign payments;
  • You can adjust the card’s spending limit.

Deleting or suspending a card does not exempt the customer from paying future instalments of any contract they have subscribed to and accepted with a merchant.

Good pratctices

The “subscription Card” is compatible with Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay, but this usage is not recommended. For daily payments, it’s preferable to add a dedicated virtual card or a physical card.

It can also be used for a unique online purchase. However, for this type of use, it's advised to rely on a Single‑Payment Card, a virtual card for one‑time use.

It is also possible to associate this card with a dedicated account. This allows centralizing expenses on a separate payment method while linking them to a specific budgeting space. The account associated with this card can be modified at any time from the card’s detailed view.
