To make online transactions, customers seek payment solutions that are both convenient and secure. Rather than using their card details for everyday purchases, they can choose the Single‑Payment Card, a one‑time‑use card available for free in the app. After use, the card is automatically destroyed.

This solution helps reduce fraud risk and banking data breach, while strengthening the security of online purchases.

How it works

Paying with a Single‑Payment Card

At any time, the customer can create a Single‑Payment Card from the “Cards” section in the mobile app. For security reasons, strong authentication is required to confirm the card's creation.

Once this validation is complete, the card is immediately generated and its payment details displayed on the customer’s screen. The customer can then copy each detail with one click and paste it into the payment form on the merchant’s site. He can also change the funding source by selecting a different linked account. After the payment is completed via 3D Secure, the card instantly debits the associated account. A notification is then shown in the app summarizing the transaction amount and date. Learn more about the payment receipt.

Automatic Destruction

For a Single‑Payment Card to be destroyed after a transaction, the payment amount must exceed €1.50. Some merchants perform authorization requests below this threshold to confirm the validity of the card, such checks will then not trigger the card's destruction.

Automatic destruction does not prevent refunds. In the event of a refund, funds will be credited back to the original account.

The card is associated with randomly generated payment numbers and remains valid until the end of the month following its creation. Once expired, it is destroyed and can no longer be used.

Existing Ephemeral Card

If a created card remains unused, the customer may use it as long as it remains active, and access its details anytime from the card list in the “Cards” tab.

If an existing "Single‑Payment Card" is still valid when the customer tries to generate a new one, the app will suggest using the existing card instead. If accepted, the customer is redirected to that card’s details; otherwise, a new card is created.

At any time, the customer may suspend or destroy an existing ephemeral card from the card’s detail screen. Learn more.

Incompatibility

Any attempt to subscribe to a recurring service using a Single-Payment Card will be refused, and the customer will be prompted to use a dedicated virtual card for that purpose, the Subscription Card. Learn more.

Since it is designed to be short‑lived and destroyed automatically after use, the Single‑Payment Card cannot be added to mobile wallets such as Apple Pay or Google Pay. For such usage, creating a multiple‑use virtual card is recommended. Learn more about virtual cards.
