When the card approaches its expiration date, we automatically send a communication to the user to replace it. This automatic replacement incurs no fees and does not affect the card’s terms of use.
How long does a card last for?
Each card can be used for three years — then, it expires. Its expiration date can be found on the back of the card. When this date comes, customers won't be able to use it anymore. If the card's renewal is not validated before the card's expiration, it will be necessary to order a new one.
When do I get my new card?
The customer will get a notification in the app a month before his card expires. We'll ask him about his current postal address. Once he has confirmed it, we'll send the new card over to his home. The customer won't have to pay a thing. If the card's renewal is not made before the card's expiration, it will be necessary to order a new one from the "Cards" tab.
Activating the new card
Once the customer receives the new card, they simply need to activate it from the app.
The PIN remains the same as the last one used; however, the customer may change it at any time from the app.
Fulfilling your old card's destiny
Even though an expired card cannot be used, we recommend destroying it by cutting both the card and the chip with strong scissors.
