Visa+ Alias Directory allows money to be received via a phone number, without the customer having to share their full bank account details. At Sumeria, the “phone” alias is linked in the background to a dedicated receiving method that credits the account selected as the destination.
Eligibility
To benefit from the Visa+ service, the customer must have previously verified their identity. The country code of the phone number associated with the customer’s Sumeria account must match their country of residence.
Activation
From the application preferences available in the “Me” screen, the customer can activate the Visa+ service after accepting the terms and conditions.
Following the activation of Visa+, a dedicated payment method will be created in the background in order to receive payments through this platform.
The customer’s phone number will be registered with Visa as the preferred alias.
The customer must agree to the Visa+ Terms and Conditions in order to activate the service.
Select the account to be credited
Funds are received into the account selected as the default receiving account. Please refer to the dedicated article : setting the receiving account.
Deactivation
From the app preferences, the customer can opt out of this service at any time. The phone number will then no longer be usable to receive payments via Visa+ on Sumeria.
If the number is associated with Visa+ through other institutions, those associations remain active with Visa (the removal only applies to Sumeria).
If the phone number or the country of residence no longer matches after activation, the service is automatically deactivated.
The customer can reactivate this service at any time from the app.
Notifications
The customer will automatically receive a confirmation when the Visa+ service is activated.
The customer will receive a notification upon receiving money via Visa+ (provided that notifications have been enabled).
