A tracking graph is available on simple accounts, shared accounts, and budget accounts. It allows the customer to view the evolution of the balance or budget of the selected account, helping them better manage their finances on a daily basis.

The information displayed may vary depending on the type of account.

On basic and shared accounts

On a basic account or a shared account, the graph allows the customer to track the account balance over time.

It helps the customer quickly visualize :

  • Changes in the balance ;
  • The impact of expenses and incoming payments ;
  • The overall evolution of the account over the displayed period.

The graph is calculated based on the transactions recorded on the relevant account. The data displayed is provided for informational purposes and may vary depending on transaction processing or update times.

On budget accounts

On a budget account, the graph allows the customer to track the evolution of the budget they have defined for a given period.

In particular, it allows them to visualize :

  • The amount already spent ;
  • The remaining budget for the current period ;
  • The spending pace to maintain until the end of the period ;
  • The share of the budget already used ;
  • Any potential budget overruns.

Unlike simple and shared accounts, the graph for a budget account focuses on tracking a maximum amount that should not be exceeded.

When a customer with a Sumeria+ plan shares a budget account or a project account with a customer who does not have Sumeria+, the latter will see the tracking graph used for simple accounts, rather than the budget evolution graph or the project account gauge.

Choosing the period for a budget account

When creating a budget account, the customer chooses a period start date. This date is used as the starting point for tracking the budget.

For example, if the customer chooses the 1st of the month, the graph will track the budget’s evolution from that date until the end of the month.

It is recommended to choose a date that is consistent with the customer’s income cycle, such as the day they receive their salary.

Projections on budget accounts

The graph for a budget account may also display a projection until the end of the period.

This projection provides an estimate of how the balance will evolve if the customer continues spending at the current pace.

In particular, it can estimate :

  • The projected account balance ;
  • The average amount to spend per day ;
  • The share of the budget that should be used by a future date.

These projections are calculated based on recorded transactions and are provided for informational purposes only. They do not constitute a performance commitment or financial advice.

If the budget is exceeded

If the customer exceeds the amount planned for their budget account, the graph allows them to visualize the overrun.

This helps the customer quickly identify that they have spent more than the defined budget, and then decide whether to adjust their spending or modify the budget planned for future periods.
