Each Sumeria account can have its own International Bank Account Number (IBAN), allowing it to receive bank transfers and be used for direct debit payments.

Sumeria also allows you to obtain an additional "one-way" IBAN for each account. This IBAN can only be used to receive transfers.

The first account of every customer is automatically assigned a dedicated IBAN. Additional "one-way" IBANs can be requested directly from the app.

Accessing or requesting an IBAN

The IBAN associated with each account can be accessed from that account’s screen.

They are also available from the app’s “IBAN & Bank Details” screen, where they can be viewed, copied, or downloaded as a PDF bank account details document.

One-way IBANs

For added security, a "one-way" IBAN can be requested for each account in addition to the primary IBAN.

It is linked to the same account as the primary IBAN. Transfers received through either IBAN are credited to the same account balance.

A "one-way" IBAN can only be used to receive incoming transfers. Any direct debit attempt made against this IBAN is automatically rejected.

To reduce the risks associated with sharing bank account details, Sumeria recommends sharing a "one-way" IBAN whenever only incoming transfers are expected.
The primary IBAN should be reserved for situations where direct debits are also required, such as paying for a subscription.
