Click to Pay is a secure service provided through Visa that allows online payments without entering card details. With Click to Pay, the customer can use his Sumeria card with partner merchants using an email and verification. The service operates using the primary email address registered with Sumeria. Adding a Sumeria card to Click to Pay is currently possible on the Visa website, accessible via the Sumeria app. Managing Click to Pay directly within the Sumeria app will be available soon.

Activate Click to Pay

From the Sumeria app and the card's list, the customer's will have to :

  • Tap “Click to Pay.”
  • Review his personal informations and continue to Visa's Click to Pay portal.
  • Fill the main email address linked to the Sumeria account.
  • Add a Sumeria card manually by clicking on “Add a Card.” The card will then be registered with the service and displayed in a “digital wallet” at compatible merchants.
  • The added card appears with participating merchants and can be used for your next purchase via Click to Pay.
The customer can also activate from a merchant’s checkout when you see the Click to Pay option.

Add or delete a card from Click to Pay

To add or remove a card from the service, customers must first log in to the service through the Visa portal using the email address associated with their account. Then, they can manually add a Sumeria card by clicking on “Add a Card.” Several cards can be added on Click to Pay.

To remove a card from the service, the customer must select the card on the Visa portal, then click on “...” in the “Details” tab. The customer can then delete or edit the information for the selected card.

If the customer has multiple Sumeria cards, repeat the operation for each card.

How to deactivate Click to Pay

  • From the Sumeria app:
    • From the cards list open Click to Pay.
    • Sign in to Visa portal with the email address attached to the Sumeria account.
    • Remove the Sumeria cards from Click to Pay portal.
Deactivation applies per card. If the customer have multiple Sumeria cards, deactivate each one separately.

Privacy and security

The card details added to the service are replaced with tokens for online payments.

No Sumeria advisor will ever ask you for your access code or to approve a payment. If in doubt, do not approve anything and contact customer service immediately.
