Contactless card payments are not protected by any authentication system. Contactless mobile payments ensure the security of your payment means with fingerprint, facial recognition or PIN code.
Security
When the customer adds a card to Google Pay directly from the Sumeria app, he is already authenticated. He doesn’t need to enter the sixteen-digit card number and the security code in Google Pay.
From the Sumeria app, the customer can add a card to Google Pay by clicking on "Add to Google Pay" from the card detailed screen.
A transaction on Google Pay is authenticated and secured by the phone holder's fingerprint, iris recognition or security code. Payment information is encrypted.
Confidentiality
Banking information is not stored on the customer's device and is not shared with Google, even at the time of payment. Only an encrypted digital card identifier, generated from the card, is stored in Samsung Pay. With each payment, this digital identifier is transmitted instead of the card numbers.
For an optimal experience, we display the data of the latest transactions made with the card via Samsung Pay. By default, the customer also receives a Google Pay notification for every payment. These notifications can be disabled to ensure alerts are only sent by Sumeria during a transaction.
