IBAN

IBAN (International Bank Account Number) is an international bank account numbering system. It enables customers to carry out banking transactions between two accounts.

In the SEPA area, the IBAN uniquely identifies the beneficiary account and the payment institution that manages it. It is mandatory for the execution of any SEPA transfer.

BIC

The BIC (Bank Identifier Code) is the code that enables a bank to identify the bank that will manage the incoming transfer and credit one of your accounts. The BIC can be requested by the issuing bank when adding the IBAN to its beneficiaries or for an immediate transfer.

It is also called SWIFT Code and identifies the institution internationally.
