Transfers sent from the application are instant and free for all customers.
Conditions to send an instant transfer
Customers don't need to follow a specific path in-app, nor to select an option to emit an instant transfer. Transfers are instant by default, for all verified customers (to get verified, click here from a mobile phone).
In some cases or under certain conditions, bank transfers are necessarily initiated the standard way (effective within 2 to 3 working days).
- If the receiving bank is not compatible with the instant payment technology or use TARGET Instant Payment Settlement (TIPS) service. To learn more, customers can check out the website of the bank in question, or directly reach out to them.
- If the beneficiary account is not compatible with the instant payment technology. This can concern accounts that are not current accounts, savings accounts for instance.
- If the flow processing inter-banking platform for instant payments is temporarily down, or undergoing maintenance.
- If the profile of the customer who initiated the transfer is deemed unsafe by our services in charge of transactions security.
Getting a confirmation for the instant processing of a transfer
To know if a transfer was instant, customers just need to refer to the confirmation notification or email they received.
Customers can also download a transfer confirmation from their history by opening the transaction in question.
Lastly, customers can check, if they can access it, the account of the beneficiary of the transfer.
