If the format of the recipient IBAN is not correct, the transfer cannot be carried out. However, it is not possible to check beforehand whether the recipient IBAN is linked to a closed bank account or not.

In this case, the receiving bank will reject the transfer within a few days and notify Sumeria. This can take up to 15 days.

Within 3 working days of the bank rejecting the transfer, the customer's account is automatically credited back with the amount of the transfer, and the erroneous IBAN is deleted. The customer is notified of the operation by e-mail.
